Charles Town Races & Slots - 20 minutes south of Martinsburg.  Food, Entertainment, and Slots

Harpers Ferry Historical Park - 30 minutes southeast of Martinsburg. An area that influenced the course of our nation's history.  John Brown wax museum which traces the exploits of John Brown and depicts scenes from his daring raid on Harpers Ferry.

Antietam National Battlefield - 20 minutes north of Martinsburg.  The site of the worst single day battle in American history.  Totaled 23,000 casulties.  Visit Dunker Church, Bloody Lane, Burnside Bridge and the visitor's center.

C&O Canal - 15 minutes north of Martinsburg.  The C&O Canal follows the route of the Potomac River for 184.5 miles from Washington, DC to Cumberland, MD.  The canal's towpath provides a nearly level, continuous trail through spectacular scenery of the Potomac River valley.
