Mostly AIR CONDITIONED COURTS-
THE FINAL SCHEDULE IS POSTED - EXCEPT FOR ONE SMALL CHANGE THAT WILL PROBABLY NOT AFFECT YOUR TEAM. IF SO, I WILL NOTIY YOU. ON SUNDAY, COURT 14 IS A NEW COURT AT THE MICHIGAN LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL. AVE FUN THIS WEEKEND AND REMEMBER THE SPIRIT OF AYBT.
This year's DSE, called Southwest Michigan Slam, will take place in SIX venues. There is very minimal driving between sites (5 minutes most.) We are using the beautiful St. Joseph High School and fairly new fieldhouse and facilities. St. Joe High School is located on the shores of Lake Michigan and is very close to Silver Beach, a popular beachfront for people of all ages. St. Joe High School has 6 courts (Courts 1-6) all air conditioned and ready for action. Also, we will use the St. Joe Middle School (Upton Middle School), which has two courts (Courts 7 & 8 and one is air conditioned.) Further, we will use the St. Joe YMCA , for courts 9 & 10. This is a two-court facility and air conditioned, but a little cramped for spectators. Also, we will use the two beautiful courts at Lake Michigan Elementary school (COURTS 11 & 12) -- air conditioned and wood courts. Finally we will use Lake Michigan Catholic High School (COURT 13) on Saturday- not air conditioned but nice and recently refinished and Michigan Lutheran High School (Court 14) on Sunday. You may want to pick up a cool Southwest Michigan Slam T-shirt while at the event while enjoying our great concessions.
